Netherlands (Kingdom of the)  -  Expected mail processing delays during NATO Summit

The designated operator of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, PostNL, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the NATO Summit will be hosted in The Hague on 24 and 25 June 2025.   The Summit will host approximately 9,000 attendees, including 45 heads of state and government. The comprehensive security measures put into place will affect road traffic, public transport and air travel. Significant road disruptions are expected in the Amsterdam–The Hague–Rotterdam area from 22 to 26 June. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport will experience heightened activity, although airlines are currently maintaining their usual capacity.   PostNL will make every effort to ensure smooth shipment processing and delivery throughout the week. Delays may, however, occur owing to challenges with the sorting, transport and delivery of both domestic and international items.   PostNL apologizes for any inconvenience caused and thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding and cooperation.
